The Agony of De-feet Challenge the Paget Trail

From Bermuda Source:

Team TCD (The Agony of De-feet) were in Paget last week Thursday (July 18) as the Global Fitness challenge continues. The team met at the Paget Evangelical church on South Road in Paget to prepare for a power walk into Warwick.

Team members, Yolanda Johnstone, Sue Smith, Theresa Ince, Sandra Beach and Linda Wall started out from the church and walked east toward the city before doubling back for the journey through the trail to Cobbs Hill Road.

Joining them for this leg of the competition was newcomer, Jackie Bremar who accepted an invitation from team member Sandra Beach to join the crew.

Along their journey, the team gathered around the memorial of young Rebecca Middleton, the Canadian teen who was brutally slain in Bermuda on July 3, 1996.

The memorial plaque for Ms. Middleton is erected on the trail in Warwick. The entire nature reserve was named in her honor by the Bermuda National Trust. It was both fitting and respectful to take time out to honor her memory as the team passed through.

The Bermuda Government is spearheading the local chapter of the Global Fitness challenge, which concludes October 28, 2019. You can still join the competition and use it as a launching pad to engage more physical activity to improve personal health and longevity.
